After seeing the King of Thorn PV (here) I ran and got myself the mango. Now that I’m done… I’m much less excited for the movie. I’d say this post is spoiler free (certainly not wikipedia kind of spoilage, I even avoided all names :P). There’s more after the jump~

Stuff got announced.

• A new Kalafina single has been announced for July 1st (SECL-786~7 for CD+DVD, and SECL-788 for CD only). No title or anime relation is known yet.
  Current gg anime tie-ins guessses are 2nd OP/ED for: Valkyria (lol), FMA (LOL).
  Sony confirmed it to be for the (silly) Rekishi Hiwa Historia live-action series that Kajiura is also scoring.
  Update #2: And Sony edited their pages so it no longer mentions Historia, lol.
• The seventh (and probably final, DAMN APRIL FOOLS) Kara no Kyoukai movie will be released theatricaly in August, while the DVD for the sixth movie is retailing on July 29 (ANZB-2891 limited, ANSB-2891 regular).

The official site site for Kara no Kyoukai opened (now? recently? lol) subsites for Remix and chapter 7 movies. Included on the latter is a preview for the (still unscheduled) final movie’s poster and MY MY HOW AMAZING IT IS (also above). It seems to (see below) be directed by Mitsuru Obunai, who also did the 3rd movie.

Remix, which is a recap of the first 6 chapters, opens on March 14.

So I finally finished watching the last episode and it certainly continued the Otome-verse tradition (or is it a Sunrise tradition) of having plenty of unanswered questions AKA plot holes.

Wouldn’t really say it was a bad OVA - in fact I found it far more enjoyable than My-Otome Zwei, but the way they rushed through the story and the amount of “hinting” was just incredibly annoying. The characters were saying all kinds of shit which COULD mean something really cool in the HiMEverse should they be explored in the story, but instead we have to just accept them without knowing any details. Of course that might be the point - whatever was said meant ZERO. All the mentions of HiME, Harmonium, “THAT power” (yarly, Rena can haxxx the Otome system using THAT power), etc could be, and probably are, one HUEG fanservice which sounds and looks cool, but makes no sense to the viewers, or the writers. There’s also Uma’s “explanation” why Sifr should die - something about Windbloom not being kawaii with Garderobe and… Iono, it left me with a “wat?” expression on my face…

Even more annoying is the ending (paraphrasing): “OHEY THIS LED TO ANOTHER ADVENTURE, BUT LETS NOT MENTION IT HERE”. Another prequel coming? Pfft… If it’s indeed happening, they hopefully get Yuki Kajiura back - Kuniaki Haishima sucked cock on S.ifr (apart from the space battle in ep3). It sort of baffles me how he could compose Macross ZERO in the past and now this…

… not really, hehe, but it certainly feels like a rushed ending to a series (even though it’s not, since the manga continues past the next episode).

In this episode Sanpeita has had enough of M.M. avoiding his questions, so he turns to Vanilla for answers - he gets them. Basically, this is where several of the anime’s plot questions regarding Mishima and M.M. are answered in a fairly amusing manner (I somehow got Time Bokan/Yatterman flashbacks with the pig and other animals…) and with some mediocre fights in between. Next up: Kiriko vs Kemeko (fabulous Chiwa Saito adlibbing in the preview). It better be an awesome finale.

PS: Izumi sure is strong, lol.

The official Kara no Kyoukai site got updated with a brand spankin new trailer (3m14s) for the new DVDs. It’s so fucking awesome I fucking came.

Again… was rewatching bits and had to start wondering…

Kemeko says “TMR” here, so that makes this outfit the HOT LIMIT one. LOL, even the wrist/arm bands are right.

It’s time for vacation preparations… and Izumi gets sick. Enter the Super Nurse, err, I mean, Kemeko-sensei.

This was another single chapter episode filled with Kemeko’s antics (what I was missing last episode), referrences (many of which I surely didn’t get), cosplay, Izumi’s boobies and plenty of Pripprin Excercise (BTW ~LA Version~ was awesome, plz2include on Dec 26 OST)! Seriously, I have no words to describe Chiwa Saito’s pure awesomeness in this episode - she even gets to do her cute Paya-tan voice. Orite, there’s more Saeko Chiba recycling, too - it’s her 4th character that I remember, the others being Aoi, sensei and one of Tama’s friends in ep2. Wonder if I missed any? Obviously she also voices Dokuro’s cameo. It makes me giggle.

For a major part of the episode I kept wondering where I have seen this outfit Sanpeita was wearing… just as I was about to give up I thought how gay he looked and it hit me - ESPOILERVSPOILERASPOILER #9. I sure laughed hard.
