There’s a new promo streamed on the official site and it includes a new Kanako Itou track, titled “F.D.D.”. No release date for the single has been announced yet.

There also seems to be a new Kanako Itou compilation album scheduled for December 10, 2008.

Nevermind the nonexistant budget… SLAYERS IS BACK AND NOT WORSE THAN EXPECTED, but with a sucky OP this time. Xellos was only in the OP unfortunately and Pokota had a last minute debut. Can’t wait ep2.

Since I watched this raw in rather ugly webrip quality and didn’t understand a thing, I’ll keep this short.

The good things: the RED GARDEN style, atmosphere and music are definitely back & still working. The bad thing is GONTZO introduced really ugly CG mechas, even if it’s only for 2 sequences or something.

The story I can’t really comment on (probably sucks, lol), but the biggest surprise to me in this 45 minutes show is that Kate remembers awakening in the final scenes of RED GARDEN. I was sure this would be an unrelated spin-off like My-Otome was to My-HiME so this flashback is totally messing with my head - sequel? spin off? alternate universe? Why are all the other characters alive if it’s a sequel? Why different names? I really don’t know from watching raw so feel free to fill me in. I’ll definitely be watching again when subs appear, heh. :)

P.S. I hope there’s a RED GARDEN/DEAD GIRLS OST coming soon….

moonphase lists the staff, cast and release dates for the ufotable movies based on Type-Moon’s “Kara no Kyoukai” novels. Yuki Kajiura is doing the music. Maaya Sakamoto is one of the seiyuus, too. :D

I guess it’s about time for something like this. No fancy introduction needed. There’s more after the jump~

I enjoy CODE-E so far - sure it’s nothing more than an enjoyable slice of life animu, but I enjo… wait… let me start again.

I want to enjoy this show but FOR FUCKS SAKE - the male lead art is of Gift ~eternal rainbow~ quality. Those who have seen 2 episodes of that should know it means it is random C-R-A-P head size&shape + random face. Some evidence below. There’s more after the jump~

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei thankfully continues ditching the SHAFT classroom standard as much as possible and focuses on other fuckups in Itoshiki sensei’s homeroom instead = strong second episode! YAY!

I’m saying thankfully because during episode one I was afraid SHAFT was taking it the easy way - after all it’s already their 3rd show with a teacher as the lead (and 4th if we count Yoshinoya sensei from Hidamari too). While it’s fun seeing Orenji and Manabi there (among other stuff), I’m personally tired of the blackboards by now and am looking for something more - SHAFT seems to realize this by using their characters better than PPD! and Negima!? so far and including an in-your-face referrence that (instead of being random blackboard fanboyism) actually makes sense in the show - something new for SHAFT? I’m talking about Hachikuro during the stalker part, of course - Mayama, anyone? ;)

The suicide attempts, hilarious/’depressing’ dialogue, suicide accidents and awesome style are still here (Kafuka’s spiritual barrier, anyone?), even though animation quality went down a bit (as expected from SHAFT, waiting for DVDs ^^). I thought BGMs actually got better this time round, but I still can’t get over those 7 (x2) notes that See-Saw also used…

So ATM we have a genki fuckup, anal fuckup, hikikomori fuckup, a stalker fuckup (AKA deepu rabu fuckup) and their Zetsubou sensei. Who’s joining the fun next?

First subbed show of the current season to totally blow me away (to the point of making me feel like posting about it). It’s by no means EPIC or DORAMATIC or W00T BUDGET WIN - instead it’s just WRONG on so many levels (WITHOUT being ecchi even) that I’m loving it. Not posting any awesome pics, because it would honestly ruin the fun for you.

Scythe girl is WIN (ROFL @ duct tape). Potemayo is PUNI PUNI CUTE (lulz @ Kawasumi radar). Bird is CANNIBAL. Main lead is LOL for his chara design (chapter3 takes it to OMFG level). Mudo is LOL for his failures (chapter3 again). Kawasumi Ayako’s character is OK. Kikuko Inoue is BUDGET @ casting.

The only suggestion I have for the creators is: KILL OFF THAT GREEN HAIRED ANNOYANCE. God I want to rip my ears off whenever she speaks… Oh yea, and please don’t let the jokes get old. Pretty please.

And yes… I do have to agree: suki suki suki suki pan suki~.

I’m very happy to see Yasuharu Takanashi listed as the composer once again. ^^
