Why didn’t you put the whole George x Shannon vs Beatrice sequence in the last episode?

You packed a big “action” scene at the beginning of this ep, only to randomly slow down to snailpace before the Banquet again. This sequence would’ve worked as episode 10 finale more than fine, and then you could’ve started this episode with the calm before the Banquet blabber and the pace would’ve been surefine…

tldr: end episodes on a high-note so faggots keep coming back for more. There’s no profit from starting good.

I’ll give you props on this episodes Banquet and Tea Party though. They were far more atmospheric than I expected from you (even if still hilarious).

PS. I hate the OST in the parts the gamefags love it. That music when Rosa was comforting Maria before the Tea Party (worldend dominator, was it?) was a horrible choice - way to ruin the mood.

Sugoi. Can SHAFT keep it this focused (serious and sign spam free) for a whole show though? I hope so.

After seeing the King of Thorn PV (here) I ran and got myself the mango. Now that I’m done… I’m much less excited for the movie. I’d say this post is spoiler free (certainly not wikipedia kind of spoilage, I even avoided all names :P). There’s more after the jump~

I have just watched your 25th episode and I’d like to share my thoughts. Can we please finally end the KugiRie/Paku Romi shit? It’s not funny, it’s not cute, nor easy on my ears. More Russia instead, please.

Couple of things I figured I’d say about Umineko.

• The anime is surefine so far but gamefags are going to ruin it for anime-only viewers with all their complaining. If you gamefags want a rushed story, go watch FMA:Brohood where everyone, including non-manga fags (me), can feel it’s rushed. You’re also making it sound like Umineko was supposed to be some Key/KyoAni CLANNAIDS drama - I’m glad it’s not.
• The new game, Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru: End of the golden witch, is coming out on the next Comiket (C76, August 14-16). The new OP is available here - as Kaze said, it’s a Kanako Ito wannabe.
• The next Comiket will also see the release of Dai’s 2nd Umineko related album, subtitled “musicbox Blue”. In addition to old stuff it apparently also includes new BGMs from Chiru. More info here. Update: “musicbox Red” featuring music from zts will also be out during C76. More info here.
• Umineko Episode 1 (Game) Original Soundtrack is supposedly also coming out on Comiket, then followed by an August 26 selected store release with KNIL-0004 cat# (Akiko Shikata’s OP was KNIL-0003). Not much info is available about this product at this time though, it might just be a rumour. It’s now on getchu and animate so it’s confirmed.
• The first two character singles for Umineko are coming out on October 7 and November 6, 2009 (FCCM-0290 & FCCM-0291).

• The first real Umineko PV is fucking up @ famitsu. I think the show looks decent, but game fans will probably disagree. I love the OP so muchhhh. Animate is also hosting the first part of the OP here. Akiko Shikata FTW.
• Hetalia #21 marks the return of Chibitalia! Surely certain bloggers will be unamused by this, but not me. :D The only bad thing about this is that we’re getting closer to the real end of Chibitalia.
• Blogsome has been sucking cock lately. Wonder when they fix their issues. Guess they just have.

If you’ve been idling in #gg, you already know cause I called it some 6 months ago, but for all you who weren’t there - Alexander Rybak won ESC2009. I am proud of you, Europe.

Stuff got announced.

• A new Kalafina single has been announced for July 1st (SECL-786~7 for CD+DVD, and SECL-788 for CD only). No title or anime relation is known yet.
  Current gg anime tie-ins guessses are 2nd OP/ED for: Valkyria (lol), FMA (LOL).
  Sony confirmed it to be for the (silly) Rekishi Hiwa Historia live-action series that Kajiura is also scoring.
  Update #2: And Sony edited their pages so it no longer mentions Historia, lol.
• The seventh (and probably final, DAMN APRIL FOOLS) Kara no Kyoukai movie will be released theatricaly in August, while the DVD for the sixth movie is retailing on July 29 (ANZB-2891 limited, ANSB-2891 regular).
