Higurashi site got updated with a new artwork - first promo pic of Higurashi Kai, perhaps? - as well as character designs which are now in color (lack of toothpick-thin legs is still shocking) and a lot of text which I don’t understand (opening song?). :P

I still want to know if it’s a sequel to the first one (hopefully) or a brand new (original?) adaptation. Can anyone help?
