Just in case some of you haven’t noticed, Kajiura is responsible for the 2nd My-Otome Zwei ending theme.

Wish I could find scans to type official lyrics out cause I really REALLY like this song. I doubt I’ll ever find them though… -_-
Mini-rant on My-Otome and Zwei so far below, since I’m seeing many other bloggers disappointed with episode 2.
The HiME universe never exactly had the best stories or the best pacing in anime… After the surprisingly intense emo ride My-HiME ended with a big ass disappointment (to me). I think My-Otome came out good in the end because Sunrise realized it failed at creating a good/serious story (which tried and failed to reach the level of My-HiME drama) and put a lot of comedy instead - nekomimi Akane, spider-man Nao, uzumaki skull Shiho and so on. The first episode of Zwei kinda disappointed me by going back to the ’serious’ storytelling skills of the TV series (and identical score -_-) instead of focusing on the humorous bits. Seeing many Otome get eliminated behind the scenes (very much like in the TV series) was also annoying. So after the first episode, I was not really expecting the second one, but…
I found this second episode to be a LOT better than the first one, since it actually focused on fun characters instead of Mashiro’s adult dilemmas, Arika’s childish behaviour, Mai’s cooking (seen too much of those in the TV series already)! In the 2nd episode Haruka’s antics were as awesome as ever, Chie’s new robe hilarious and Shinku handling Haruka super fun. And let’s not forget The Bitchiest Bitch of the HiMEverse, Tomoe.
I didn’t have any issues with the animation this time around and the story… err… is anyone really expecting some story in Otome? Not me. Aren’t we all expecting the defeated Otome to come back in episode 4? I am (as much as I hated that surprise ending in My-HiME I now am prepared for it) - as long as the ride is enjoyable, it’s all good. :)

The version used in the show is NOT the complete song.

As a big Yuki Kajiura fan, I’m going to assume that this song was on the second CD released with the latest OVA for Zwei? If so, were there any other songs on it that Yuki worked on, or was that it? Thanks a bunches ^^
By the way, I completely agree with you about HiME, though I do find it to be an enjoyable guilty pleasure.
